Self Sabotage

He put me on a pedestal
I was strong and lovely
I was perfect and I changed his world
I spelt the word happy, In essence I was the H in it
Intermittently, he would doubt that he qualified for this nature of person
Times when his guilt for the errors he had made (known to me or not) would breed doubt
At those times I’d have to remind him that he was as great a person to me as I was to him
That I perceived him to be a bucket full of wonderful, In essence the W in it
But as we are human, more often than not we self sabotage
Our own happiness, Our own dreams
With doubt, with fear, with questions
The “what if” masquerade of which I’m guilty of
But aren’t we all
We lose things we love , We love things we lose
I have catered to fear and found this fear to be
False Emotions Appearing Real
For we can have what we want, forever and all the time
I may have lost but only because I gave up
Pushing, trying to convince to another otherwise
I resigned in disappointment

Then I find, I am a lover
I know that love is energy
Energy that is indestructible
Energy that transforms itself
If only to exist and not give room to decadence

I feel open in his presence
Completely at peace before his smile

It is innocently vulgar

I watch them fade away
A temporary picture of perfect delusion
Ordinary pinks, Stationery reds
Open to black possibilities

Greens are a natural
they make me complain
about what is unreal and vain
Brown as the earth, dark dark dirt
If I were to choose a yellow
It would hove o’er and under the hue of the moon

Love is an encyclopaedia
Covering a million scenarios
Of the heart’s own rarities
fears, habits, insecurities and anxieties
I, for one have been a lover, a difficult one at that
Creating confusion and trouble where there was none
Having my own fears and inhibitions
Limit the productivity of my emotions
There’s been a program running within my unconscious mind
running and running, whether or not I knew it
Giving my insecurities and anxieties a chance to come to life,
Causing me to say “You see, Love is pain!”

I’ve learnt that it isn’t all particularly true
Love is not pain, it is quite the opposite
Love has a million solutions, antidotes and coverings
Presenting us with countless opportunities to learn and to grow,
to show mercy and then compassion, to lend a hand and then an ear to the ones around us
Love earnestly teaches and preaches..A Peace beyond the human understanding
Love compels us but it does not control us or steal away our right to choose

Girdy with Might,

For his covering is an absolute, a replica is not needed

His affection is a burning flame swallowing up corruption

His attention the finest of teachers

For I may be unable to find him in all the abundance

His nature overwhelms in a carat-type measure
